I was lucky enough to attend a birding photography tour and workshop at Kensington Metropark. It was led by a professional photographer and organized by Michigan Audubon. I’ll have more specific stories to add later, but for now I wanted to share some of the photo highlights, including a new lifer* for me, a Virginia Rail.
*Lifer – a bird you’re seeing for the first time. Very exciting stuff if you’re unapologetically nerdy enough to keep a list of every bird you’ve ever seen, especially when that list is already long.
